About Decisive Communications.
Who is Decisive Communications?
Well, it's mostly just me, Scott McDaniel. I have been an internet marketing professional, web developer, and designer for over 10 years. I've been a Creative Director and Director of Marketing for some successful high tech companies (successful until the .com crash anyways). I am currently living in Boulder, Colorado after spending the last couple years in Asia.
Plays well with others.
I also have a great group of friends and fellow developers that I work with when I need their expertise or additional bandwidth. We have yet to see a project that was <quote>too big<unquote> for us (please try), but most of our clients are small and medium sized companies looking for professional and powerful work. This is the area of business we target.
Web development costs.
"Cost always depends on a lot of variables like functionality required, number of pages..." bla, bla, bla... Yes that's true, but it doesn't help you does it? In a nutshell, I provide the absolute state of the art in development at more modest costs than similar industry professionals. I don't bid on projects where I'm up against your neighbor's high school student, but if your looking for someone who understands the complexities of presentation, usability, search engine optimization, and long term flexibility, then please contact us.
Describe working with me in one word.
In a word easy.
Here is what one client said about working with me even when I lived 12 time zones away.
"Thanks so much Scott! You are a delight to work with - very good communicator even being half-way around the world from me! If you ever need a testimonial or anything - I'd love to offer that for any potential clients of yours."
Karen Campbell, Introductions
Well thanks Karen, I don't think you could have said it better if I had asked for a testimonial.
About founder Scott McDaniel.
I built my first web page in "very early" 1997 (evidence destroyed to protect the guilty). It seems so long ago, doesn't it? Like many of my compatriots, my professional development and career path was on a fast and furious track in the late '90's early '00's.
It seemed that jobs, software versions, development platforms, and industry lingo was changing every month. Budgets got bigger, salaries went up, and projects became more ambitious.
Before the music stopped in 2002, I was Director of Marketing for a company called MessageMedia. They were a leader in the email marketing realm (strictly opt-in I might add) doing about $35M with clients like ETRADE, ESPN, Martha Stewart et al. I have also owned a traditional marketing agency, and worked for the U.S.G.S. . When I was a little kid, I wanted to be a Volcanologist (first like Spock, then the scientist kind), and that got me all the way through a Masters Degree in Volcanic Geo-Chemistry.
So, how did you end up in the web people ask?
Simple, I fell in love with it.
